Meet our Team
Our team has been doing this work since 2000. What has stayed constant through all of it is a simple conviction: that our clients deserve to understand their own financial lives, and that our job is to help make that possible.
You'll Always Know Why
Before any client moves forward with a plan or a decision, we make sure they can explain it back to us. A plan you don't fully understand isn't really yours. We take the time to make sure the path forward makes sense to the person walking it.
How We can help
The values that shape how we work are integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, compassion, respect, authenticity, and gratitude. Those aren't words we put on a wall. They're the standard we hold ourselves to when the work gets hard and the easy answer isn't the right one.
Patrick Mossman
Financial Advisor
Most people don't end up in financial services after thirteen years in the cattle industry and a decade in animal health. I did. And while that path might look like a series of detours, it actually built the foundation I stand on. Reading a situation carefully, staying patient with outcomes, and being honest about what you're seeing are instincts that were shaped long before I ever sat across from a client.
A conversation with the manager of a local Merrill Lynch office changed my trajectory 26 years ago. What drew me in was simple: the chance to be genuinely useful to people.
That's still what drives me. I think of my work as gathering the pieces of someone's financial life and studying how they fit together. When a client looks at what they've built and finally sees it for what it is, that moment is the reason I do this. Their hard work produced the result. I was the second set of eyes that helped them see it.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Animal Business from Texas Tech University and earned my Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designation from the National Association of Plan Advisors in 2025. I'm based in Kerrville, Texas, a community that revealed its character after the devastating July 4, 2025 flooding. The response from neighbors and strangers alike was something I won't forget.
I've kept honeybees for five years. It's taught me that patience and respect will get you far, and that even when you do everything right, you're going to get stung sometimes. I've made my peace with that.
Taylor Jean Ryder
Administrative Assistant
I spent years working in education and retail before I realized I wanted to do something different. Not just something new, but something that put me on the side of helping people rather than selling to them. That shift brought me to Mossman Financial Solutions, and two months in, I haven't looked back.
What surprised me most about this work is how approachable financial progress actually is. That's not the story most people grow up hearing, and getting to be part of reframing it for clients is something I genuinely look forward to. Every day brings something I didn't know the day before, and that keeps me engaged in a way I didn't expect.
My role centers on client service. I handle communications, scheduling, and the behind-the-scenes coordination that keeps things running smoothly. What I bring to that work is pretty straightforward: I listen, I show up ready to help, and I try to make every interaction feel like it came from a person who was actually glad to hear from you.
I grew up in Kerrville, moved away for several years, and came back on purpose. This town has a way of showing up for people, and I wanted my family to be part of that. I'm involved with Sisters in Service, a group of women who channel support toward local nonprofits throughout Kerr County, and I stay active in the PTOs at my children's schools. The educators here shaped a lot of who I am, my mom included, who became a teacher while I was in high school and showed me that meaningful changes are worth making at any point in life.
Outside of work, I'm usually in the kitchen with one of my four kids nearby, experimenting with something new. My husband Michael and I take every chance we get to get outside with our kids and our two dogs, Rebel and Sadie. Reading, hiking, camping, and trying recipes that may or may not work out the first time around are how I stay grounded.
I attended Tivy High School and went on to study at UTSA. Financial services is a newer chapter for me, but listening carefully and caring about the outcome have always been part of how I work.
